Awards
VFRW is pleased and proud to offer two annual awards to members who have contributed to our chapter, the Susan Wiggs Award and the Winston Award.
The Susan Wiggs Award
One of the very first workshops VFRW offered was presented by the talented and generous Susan Wiggs. As VFRW lacked the funds to host such a lauded speaker, she graciously agreed to waive her fee. VFRW subsequently instituted The Susan Wiggs Award, which is voted upon by the membership and presented annually to an individual for his or her service to the chapter.

The Winston Award
The Winston Award was implemented by the 2002 VFRW Board in order to recognize those members who have dedicated their years as a VFRW member, working in an on-going, tireless commitment for the betterment of our chapter. This award is voted on and presented by the VFRW board as needed. This award was named for and initially awarded to Lois Winston, a long-time VFRW member whose cumulative years of tremendous volunteer efforts and dedication to our chapter needed to be recognized in a tangible way. The VFRW is fortunate to have priceless members to perpetuate the true meaning of the Winston Award.
